Why we're proud to work with them

Most product feedback arrives as a feature request. Mike's arrived as a description of a bad Sunday: which step failed, what it cost, and what a parent saw as a result. That is more useful than a roadmap vote, and it is the reason several parts of Batch Relay exist in the shape they do.

He also holds the line on the thing that matters most. A workflow is not better because it is automated. It is better because fewer families get the wrong order.

What changed in the workflow

A 300-athlete event used to mean a weekend of reconciling rosters, matching images to names, rebuilding package selections, and assembling the lab submission by hand. The measured result of moving that event onto Batch Relay was 16 staff hours returned.

The hours are the headline, but the durable change is narrower: order data is validated against the real catalog before it reaches the lab, so the corrections that used to be discovered after printing are caught while they are still cheap to fix.
