Build your first template
Create a template, add image and text elements, and prepare its print previews.

Build a reusable template for the prints your studio sells. Start with a blank template, then add the layout, images, text, branding, and preview settings that make the design ready for your workflow.
Before you start
- A Batch Relay studio account
- A clear idea of the print sizes and image areas you want to offer
- Your studio logo available if you plan to add branding
What you'll do
Work through the steps below in order. You will create the template first, then build up its canvas and finish by setting the preview size used on the All Prints screen.
Steps
- 1Create a new templateChoose a starting point for a new template.
- 2Rename a templateChange the name of your template.
- 3Work with elements on the canvasMove, resize, and round elements while building a print.
- 4Reorder layersChange which elements appear in front of or behind other elements.
- 5Add text elements to a templateAdd predefined or custom text elements to an artboard.
- 6Add image slots and cropsAdd image areas to a template using common aspect ratios or custom artboards.
- 7Add a logo to a templatePlace and size your studio logo on a print.
- 8Adjust preview sizeChange the card size used for print previews on the All Prints screen.
